Why TailRings exists
TailRings exists because of a cat named Lynx. She was with me for 21 years and is the whole reason I started TailRings. Not because of a business plan. It's because I love animals and believe they deserve to be treated with all the kindness possible. Every product I carry reflects that. Even spiders (which are equal parts fascinating and creepy) deserve good care.
How we choose what we carry
At TailRings, every product on this site has been chosen with intention. I grew up on a ranch surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, fish and horses — so when I say I understand what pets need, I mean it from lived experience, not a spreadsheet.
Every product goes through three filters before it earns a place on TailRings. First, does it pass the real-world test — would I use it for my own pets? Second, does it meet a genuine need for today's pet owners? And third, does it hold up to a quality standard I'd be comfortable standing behind? I personally procure and test products, and if something doesn't make the cut, it comes off the site. Simple as that.
Customer Service
If something isn't right, reach out — you'll hear back within 24 hours. Returns are handled with a 10-day window, which is a fair amount of time to know whether something works for you and/or your pet. And if what you've purchased isn't right, and you need some direction with finding that item, we will offer that help. Either we have something else for your consideration, or we'll try to find you that item. And, if you're looking for that thing, others may be as well.
The mission
Lynx passed on in 2024. Since then a scrappy little girl wandered out of the forest and into my life. Socci is the newest member of the TailRings family, and I will continue to give her everything she needs to be happy in life. Just as I hope to bring that same contented life to your pet.
